Jess and Nic first met in the fall of 2009. After a brief romance, life pulled them in different directions as Jessica went to Oregon State University and Nic continued his baseball pursuits in Texas. Taylor Swift fans will theorize that there must have been an invisible string tying them together… as fate reconnected them (by way of bumble) in December of 2022 and they’ve been inseparable since. On their one year anniversary, Nic proposed to Jessica at Canlis in Seattle.


A few months after proposing, they received the wonderful surprise that Jess was pregnant! The exciting news prompted them to delay their 2024 wedding, and on January 9th, 2025, Lucy Lorraine Evanson was born.
